VIDEO: Top 14 Products of 2014

Posted on January 14, 2015 under Lists, Video

Long time, no see, huh? Where I last left my captive audience, I was on my way to Canada to spend the holidays with my family and friends, which is going to be my excuse for falling off the face of Blogland. I am now back in Scotland, which means I can back into the blogging game!

When my friend Manda did a list of her top 14 beauty products of 2014, I decided to shamelessly copy her. I love lists and clever gimmicks, so it was right up my alley! I decided to do this in video format, because I want to get more comfortable in front of a camera. As you can see, I’m not quite there yet – but practice makes perfect!

  • I love this! I had originally wanted to make a video of my beauty favorites for 2014 instead of a blog post but that idea ran away from me. So glad to see that you made one :) I have the Maybelline version of the YSL Touche Eclat and love it. I might try out the L’Oreal one next as I’ve almost used my Maybelline one up. I have the Sleek Blush by 3 in “Lace” too and really like it, although I tend to steer away from that in the winter since I find it easier to wear in the summer. I have Suede as well which I like, and I’m tempted to try out Pomegranate. I also have my eye on the stila liquid lipstick. I’m thinking Fiery or Beso cause I love me a red!

I remember you talking about wanting the Naked 3 palette the most out of the Nakeds when we were at that Sephora in Eaton Centre — so yay!!

The RT Miracle Complexion Sponge is $5.99 in the US :)

    • Haha, that’s funny because I’ve been meaning to try out the Maybelline concealer since I’ve heard good things about that one too! Maybe one day I will try it and do a comparison post.

Lace is definitely more of a summer palette (haven’t been reaching for it much lately), but the middle colour is one of my favourite blushes of all time so I try to make it work year-round. I just don’t think you can go wrong with Sleek blushes – I definitely want to pick up a few more before I go back to Canada!

I kind of want to get Beso now because it’s a more wearable red (Fiery is quite deep and vampy), but do I REALLY need another red lipstick? Probably not, but Beso is the colour everyone always raves about. Maybe if I get my job back this summer and have the discount. ;)
